February 2010 ~ I’ve been thinking of the idea of portrait parties since
before I knew that it was an actual thing. I’ve always thought to myself,
“I’ve been invited to Mary Kay parties, scrapbooking, cooking, & “grown up”
parties….Why can’t people get together like that for photography?”

Portrait parties are a great way to have a fun & casual photo shoot with friends
or family. Portrait parties can be themed ~ your child’s sports team or dance
class, a Princess party, sweet 16 party, holiday party, maternity, seniors,
couples or for no reason at all other than having photographs of your children
playing & enjoying themselves.

I am really looking forward to more warm weather, and booking some of
these parties for 2010. I've been thinking about it for a long time,
and I can't wait to try it out!!

As a hostess:

* You receive a 20 minute complimentary photo shoot and 8-10 original
photos on cd for you to print wherever you wish

*Please invite 5-8 guests with invitations that I will email to you after
we set a date & time that you can email or print for your friends

* Plan your party for a playground, lake, park, or your own backyard garden.
Somewhere outdoors so that I can use natural light with at least
a couple shaded spots would be best.

* As a host, some planned activities & snacks would be a good idea also

* Confirm invitations (minimum of 5 "slots" and maximum of 8)

* Schedule sittings back to back, 20 minutes apart

* Email me a copy of our itinerary at least a week before the party

* After the cd’s are done (approx. 3 weeks), I will let you know,
and we can arrange to meet. Your guests can pick up their cd from you.

As a guest:

* With your $15 session fee (due at the time of your shoot) you receive
a 20 minute photo shoot and 8-10 original photos
on cd for you to print wherever you wish

* Please contact your hostess for your scheduled time and please also
let her know how many guests will be photographed during your time slot.
Obviously, having 1 child to focus my complete attention on and produce
results that I’m happy with is easier than having 2 or 3 at once.
But for people with more children, separate slots may not work for you.
As long as you understand that it will still be 8-10 photos total & 20 minutes,
then I will leave the subjects up to you.

* Please arrive 10 minutes prior to appointment. You do not have to stay
after your shoot is completed. In approx. 3 weeks I will let your hostess
know that the cd’s are complete, and you can pick your’s up from her.

Please email me if you have any other questions. Thanks!

Below are the invitations that I have made so far for you to choose from.
